Areas of special interest include:

Anterior Minimally Invasive Hip Surgery

This advanced procedure offers a less invasive approach to hip replacement. Accessing the hip joint from the front, minimises muscle and tissue disruption, leading to a quicker recovery and less pain post-surgery.

Kinematically aligned total knee replacement

This technique involves aligning the knee replacement components to mimic the patient’s natural knee mechanics. It aims to provide a more natural knee movement post-surgery, potentially improving comfort and longevity of the knee implant.

Robotic joint replacement

A cutting-edge technique where surgeons use robotic assistance for precise implant placement in joint replacement surgeries. This method improves accuracy, reduces recovery time, and enhances the overall outcome for patients.

Enhanced recovery following joint replacement

A modern, patient-focused approach aimed at speeding up recovery after joint replacement surgeries. Combines various techniques, including preoperative counselling, optimised pain management, and early mobilisation, to ensure a faster return to normal activities.

Traumatic and sports injuries

This area covers the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries related to trauma and sports. It includes a range of conditions, from fractures and dislocations to ligament tears, with a focus on restoring function and returning to athletic activities.

Arthroscopic knee surgery

A minimally invasive surgical procedure used to diagnose and treat problems in the knee joint. Through small incisions, surgeons use a camera and specialised instruments to repair or remove damaged tissues with less pain and quicker recovery time.

Knee ligament reconstruction

This procedure is typically used to repair torn knee ligaments, such as the ACL. It involves replacing the torn ligament with a graft to restore knee stability and function, which is essential for both everyday activities and sports.
